Day 14/15 - Squilax Hostel and Alberta2008 Summer Road trip to Northwest USA and Canada
Trip duration: 15 days (May 9th to 23rd)
Total distance: 9000km/5560milesThe end of a journeyThere's always sadness, a sort of emptiness when you get to the end
For some, being forced back into reality (or, mundane repetitive life to be exact) can be painful
But for me
This trip had been an inspiration. Fond memories, captured and cherished and shared with all of you.
It was fun, the driving, the tire burning, the talking with strangers, the sight seeings, standing on windy hills... the lonely sunsets and wonderful sunrises, the (nearly) daily phone calls with my dear Li-Ann. And now it's time to make some more new memories :) (yay Australia here I come!!! Nov 28)

A lil camp fire by the Squilax Hostel

I love the look of burning wood, the grain and smoke, the colors and the glow, mesmerizing, ever changing. It's kind of like watching the clouds, slow enough to let you dwell in the details, but the scene never stays static.

yummy :)

The hostel house boat on the river

Having a little fire side chat with people from all over the world

Germany, New Zeland, England, Manitoba, Japan...

and a firework to end the night :)

Breakfast at the Squilax hostel is always so charming, with the hostel owner lady bringing out the ingredients to make her awesome fruit pancakes.
It's the fruit pancakes which made me want to come back so badly :D

hah I wanted to make a picture and so I did.. :P

oh I could smell them right now........ they're so good!

and mint hot chocolate!!

Even the hostel dog gets a piece

Girl from Germany chatting with girl from Japan

This hostel uses train car cabooses as sleeping quarters, very unique (and chilly..)

Through the mountains going back to Alberta

And home, after 9000km in just 2 weeks...

So, that's all from this trip folks :) Thanks for sticking around (those of you who've been here since before I began :D) and thanks for everyone who subscribed and messaged me because of this trip's photos. It's great making new friends! :)

Today I thought about your blog because this old man came into where I work, and while I was checking them out at the register, he took a picture of me.. I thought it weird kinda but it was probably nothing.. But the reason I thought about your blog is cause it was just a random picture lol, and you have so many random pictures :) Like the cute smurf!
